Who are we ?

With more than 65 years of experience in the design and manufacture of machines and robotic systems, LUCAS wanted to move towards an industry 4.0. This approach took shape through exchanges with the MAZAK company in order to imagine and create the 4.0 sheet metal workshop.

To enrich this system, 3 new partners with complementary know-how have appeared (AKEROS, HEXAGON RADAN, JEAN PERROT) to create a complete solution to automate a robotized production line. This solution is part of a factory of the future approach that makes the entire production chain more flexible and agile in terms of organisation, performance and resources.

Lucas

LUCAS designs and builds linear modules from 100kg to 6,000kg, allowing, among other things, the construction of large gantry robots or linear axes to carry arm robots. Very competitive, these axes allow high velocity and high load applications, and can be deployed in a multitude of applications (machine services, machining, control, assembly, handling, palletising, etc. ….). Within the framework of this project, LUCAS has drawn on its experience and standards to develop and produce the « Smart Tower System », machines combining a storage system and a application system to automate sheet metal workshops.

Mazak

Mazak is the leader in the manufacture of advanced technology solutions including Multi-Tasking, Hybrid Multi-Tasking, 5-axis, milling, turning, CNC controls, Laser Processing machines and automation.

Akeros

AKEROS has developed a software platform called ISI (Intelligent Systems Interoperability) capable of making heterogeneous robotic systems work together. They orchestrate robotic diversity and support information processing in Industry 4.0. There solution allows to generate industrial and economic performance values.

HEXAGON RADAN is recognised as the specialist in sheet metal CAD/CAM.

JEAN PERROT, a brand of PINETTE P.E.I. industrial engineering group, designs, manufactures and supplies sheet metal processing equipment : press brakes, automated robotic bending cells, shears, tube & profile benders, rolling machines, notching machines, punching machines…
